The Computation, Learning, and Representation (CLEAR) Lab, located in the Department of Psychology at the University of New Hampshire, investigates how we learn about the complex sensory world using tools from computational cognitive neuroscience. We are interested in how we learn in complex, dynamic, multisensory environments like video games or our natural environments.

Recent Updates
- July 2026: Dr. Roark was awarded a 3-year grant from the National Science Foundation to study multisensory category learning!
- Summer 2026: Dr. Roark and PhD student Hooman Amiri presented work at the International Multisensory Research Forum in Genoa, Italy and the hybrid Cognitive Science Society meeting!
- Spring 2026: PhD students Hooman Amiri and Hedieh Nejatmand Malari successfully defended their MA theses!
- February 2026: Dr. Roark's work was spotlighted on Gorilla, the tool we use to conduct research online and in person!
- Fall 2025: The lab presented posters at the Society for Neurobiology of Language meeting in D.C. (@Lyra Joson!) and the Psychonomics Society meeting in Denver (@Hooman Amiri)!
