Dr. Casey L. Roark
she/her Casey Roark is the director of the Computation, Learning, and Representation (CLEAR) Lab and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of New Hampshire. Dr. Roark received her PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience from Carnegie Mellon University and then completed an NRSA postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh. She joined the Department of Psychology at the University of New Hampshire in Fall 2023. She is interested in understanding the computational and neural mechanisms involved in perceptual category learning. Nusrat Zaman
she/her/hers Nusrat is a MA student specializing in the field of Linguistics. Nusrat expresses her fascination with the psychological dimensions of bilingualism. In Nusrat's words, "I am fluent in two languages and have a specific expertise in comprehending language switching and its effects on cognitive processes." She intends to explore all facets of psychological study since she has a profound interest in the human mind and behavior, especially as they relate to language learning, cognition, and communication. |

Darrin Beasley
Darrin is a senior studying Psychology with the goal of getting a doctorate in Clinical Psychology. In Darrin's own words -- "I plan on getting further prepared for graduate school by gaining lab experience in statistics, research methods, and interacting with human subjects in testing through the CLEAR lab. I am typically found playing pool in the MUB." |
Lyra Joson
she/her/hers Lyra is a junior double majoring in Psychology and Linguistics. She is interested in psycholinguistics and languages of the world. In her own words -- "I grew up in the Philippines and I grew up learning to speak both English and Tagalog (Filipino). In Spring 2023, I had a great opportunity to be the language consultant for the linguistic field methods class where I was able to impart what I know about the Tagalog language while also learning a lot from the class." |
